There is only one way for the spread of the virus - Skin contact with the infected area. The herpes virus is not spread from inanimate objects like toilet seats. HIV infection is stressful enough, so no need to make things worse by focusing on things that do not exist. Have a look here, about half of the page: http://www.herpes-coldsores.com/herpes_t ...

Hope it helps

Herpes is spread through direct skin to skin. Unlike a flu virus, which can be obtained from the air, herpes spreads by direct contact, ie directly at the site of infection in the contact page. For example, if you have pain and a cold kiss someone, you can transmit the virus to their mouth. Likewise, if you have active genital herpes and vaginal or anal, you can give your partner genital herpes. Finally, if you can a cold sore and put your mouth on the genitals of the partner (oral sex), you give your partner genital herpes.

If you have an outbreak, you touch the changes when you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

It spreads through direct skin to skin, no toilet seats or other objects.
